The PSM library of members' films has swollen to around 375 during the last 12 months providing a wider choice of films when preparing a show for various clubs and organisations in the North West.

In April a group of members visited the National Media Museum to watch a screening of the 1950's promotional film announcing the arrival of Cinerama. Then we moved to the IMAX auditorium to compare it to today's stunning technology with a film about the Hubble space telescope shown in 3D. In May we had a very pleasant outing to the National Trust's Biddulph Grange Gardens. The weather was fine, we had several café breaks and plenty of filming! We have seen some of the edited film (but not from everyone - you know who you are!). Finally in September we visited the Plaza Theatre in Stockport for a tour round this wonderfully refurbished building. Great care has been taken to restore it to it's original splendour including the restaurant where we enjoyed an afternoon tea served in the traditional style.

We held a few technical meetings and are always open to arranging one at any time if a member feels there is something particular we need to address, or one which will give us more time outside the regular programme to simply discuss various aspects of our hobby.

We have enjoyed programmes of films from IAC member clubs and have more lined up for 2012. We have been along to other clubs to judge their competitions, take a programme of our own or to attend their annual events.

The Annual General Meeting on 9th December was, as usual, well attended. The minutes of the previous year's meeting were accepted as read and the accounts for the year confirmed that club funds are still healthy. The incumbent officers and committee members were voted in for a further year.

Entries to the 2011 club competition were judged by members of Warrington Cine and Video Society. The entries were screened and the prizes awarded at our Annual Hot Pot Supper by the Chairman, John Heesom. Numbers were down slightly from previous years but happily we were able to maintain last year's ticket prices.

Those collecting prizes were:
