The technical team are kept busy throughout the year doing 'extra-club' activities by preparing and showing programmes from the Poynton and Stockport Moviemakers library of films to various clubs and organisations in the area. These are well received and bookings are taken for return visits as much as 12 months in advance. The club is pleased to be able to provide entertainment and enjoyment for the community and the donations to club funds is very welcome.

At the end of July the majority of our members were fortunate in choosing a beautiful day amidst a period of miserable weather for the outing on the canal boat ''Judith Mary'' which sails from the wharf in Whaley Bridge. It was a pleasant, peaceful afternoon with an excellent selection of food. Of course, there were several camcorders whirring and the resulting movies provided an entertaining evening after they had been edited, demonstrating the different styles of approach to the art.

HD cameras started creeping into the club in 2009 and this new technology is warmly embraced by those who have made the investment.

The Annual General Meeting on 3rd December was, as usual, well attended. The minutes of the previous year's meeting were accepted as read and the accounts for the year confirmed that club funds were healthy. The serving officers were returned unopposed and no changes were made to the committee

Once again, the Christmas Party brought the year to a close with a quiz, games and lots to eat and drink.
